Proximity to Consequences

Some people bet their life. Some bet their money. Some bet their name. This show sits down with the people who pushed something real into the middle of the table.

01 — The Show

We talk to people who stood close enough to their decisions to feel them land — in war, politics, business, and public life. Not the highlight reel: what it is to choose when the consequences fall on you, and on the people beside you.

Tone

Calm and unhurried. We listen more than we talk, and we leave room for silence.

Listeners

People who work hard and stay curious — in finance, service, and beyond.

Promise

No theatrics. The work, and what it took.

03 — The Host
James Hatch, host of Proximity to Consequences

James Hatch

Special Operations Combat Veteran · Lecturer · Host

James Hatch spent his career in special operations, and was wounded in combat. He holds a degree in the humanities and works as a lecturer. He has watched leadership up close across wide and intense spectrums of human striving — from teams under fire to rooms where decisions are argued and made — and he brings that eye to every conversation.

He has made a few of those bets himself. On Proximity to Consequences, he asks plain questions, listens hard, and lets the record speak.

What guests can expect
